Who are We
Mike Atkinson has been an accountant all his working life. Having moved through practical accounting spheres from the 60’s until opening Mobile Accounting Services in 1989.
Building a strong, working knowledge of the field and developing a ‘how to’ attitude, practically introducing these principles into the management teams of the companies he worked with. Mike has a passion for accounting, knowing how the pieces fit together to tell a story of your business, and interpreting this information for his team. With a unique way of bringing life to the balance sheet, Mike will help you understand and use this information to its fullest potential.
Having lost his sight at 50 after a tragic family event, nothing deterred Mike from continuing and developing his skills, and learning new ones to dispel myths surrounding disability and become more than capable despite his situation, becoming a better and more insightful accountant. Mike is a registered Tax Practitioner, having completed his studies whilst blind, becoming an accredited accountant. He continues to study and remains up to date with taxation and accounting trends and changes.
His determination and tenacity have allowed his business to continue, opening doors for other members of his team. Mike is living proof that focus and hard work will overcome all obstacles. Nothing can get in the way of a clear path moving forward. Mike may be a blind accountant, but this gives a unique perspective on the unseen and a keen sense of what your business may need.

John Atkinson, the newest addition to the team, and Mike’s son, fulfilling a lifelong dream of a Family Business. John has always had a knack for accounting, with an innate ability to pull apart a set of books, find any niggles, and piece it back together in an ordered, workable and understandable fashion.
Thinking outside of the box, John expertly combines new and old principles of bookkeeping into a functional and readable tool for you and your team. Embracing modern technology and incorporating this seamlessly into business practice, new and old.
John has an extensive background in accounting, bookkeeping, operational, systems, admin, recruitment and HR fundamentals, and brings a rounded skillset to the table able to work alongside his clients to build functional processes and systems on which to grow your business.
